Sumeet S. Aphale英国阿伯丁大学高级讲师、英国阿伯丁大学应用动力学研究中心成员、IEEE高级会员(senior member)IEEE CSS 会议编委、Shock and VibrationInternational Journal of Advanced Robotic SystemsFrontiers in Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics)Applications of Modelling and Simulation等杂志编辑、英国工程技术学会认证的特许工程师、上海交通大学机械系统与振动国家实验室荣誉研究员,发表论文80篇左右。Sumeet S. Aphale高级讲师的主要研究方向包括:非线性系统动力学控制,精密机电系统动力学与控制,柔性机器人动力学与控制。



报告摘要


Nanopositioning – the ability to accurately move matter at nanometer scales – underpins a wide range of science and technology domains including MEMS/NEMS, cell biology, stem cell research, micro / nanomanufacturing, sensor technologies etc. The dynamics of a typical nanopositioner are dominated by resonant mode/s and hysteresis. Additionally, issues such as creep and thermal drift further limit the positioning performance. Closed-loop control has long been investigated to overcome these detrimental issues. This talk will begin with a brief introduction of nanopositioning basics and move on to a crash course in the control of nanopositioning systems. Building upon this background, some recent developments in the control of nanopositioning systems will be presented. The talk will end with a list of avenues, yet unexplored – with a view to motivate the next generation of researchers to pursue these directions.
